Barn Swallows

$320.00

Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 inches

This oil painting depicts two barn swallows at rest.

The birds are positioned closely on a weathered branch, their forms overlapping slightly as they face outward. The background is simplified and abstracted, allowing color and light to suggest atmosphere without defining a specific place. The limited detail keeps the focus on shape, posture, and contrast rather than narrative.

The composition invites looking rather than interpretation. The proximity of the birds, the stillness of the moment, and the quiet tension between movement and rest are left unresolved. The painting does not explain itself, leaving space for the viewer to notice what stands out to them.

This work was created during my studio studies and formal training, as I continue developing my voice in oil through focused school work. While finished, signed, and one of one, it is intentionally priced as a studio work rather than gallery priced painting.

This is an original oil on canvas and includes a certificate of authenticity.
