Meet the Artist
About Karisa Lee
I’ve always been creative. For most of my life, that creativity showed up through work I was doing for other people, my family, and all kinds of different projects. Now I’m finally making more room for my own art.
Creativity has always been part of my life
Over the years, I’ve worked in many creative areas, including custom pieces for large events, wedding cakes, cosmetology, and helping behind the scenes with comic art projects for Marvel and DC.
I enjoyed all of those things, but my own artwork often stayed in the background. Painting has given me a way to bring together everything I’ve learned while also finding out what I want to create for myself.
What I love to paint
I’m especially drawn to animals, people, flowers, and everyday subjects that have a strong presence or personality.
I work mostly in oils and mixed media. Some pieces are more detailed, while others are looser and more expressive. I’m still exploring, but I’m beginning to see the ideas, colors, and subjects that keep pulling me back.
I’m currently completing the Milan Art Mastery Program as part of that growth. It has challenged me to try new materials, strengthen my skills, and take my work more seriously.
