Some stories are too personal to purchase off a wall.
A commissioned painting allows us to create something together that reflects a person, a place, or a season in your life that holds meaning. Each piece is created from the beginning with care, intention, and prayer. No two commissions are ever the same.
If you feel drawn to my work and sense a connection to the way I paint, a commission may be the right path.
What I Create on Commission
I accept a limited number of commissions each year so I can give every piece the time and attention it deserves.
Commissions may include:
- Portraits, both traditional and expressive
- Figurative or symbolic works
- Abstract or semi abstract landscapes
- Spirit led or emotionally driven concepts developed through conversation
All commission pieces are original, one of a kind works created in oil or acrylic on canvas.
Available Commission Sizes
To keep each commission focused and intentional, I currently offer two standard sizes.
18 x 24
This size is ideal for intimate portraits and meaningful, personal pieces. It works beautifully in smaller spaces while still allowing for depth, expression, and layered detail. This is a wonderful option for first time collectors or those looking for a more subtle presence.
Starting at $850
30 x 40
This size is designed for statement pieces. It offers space for emotion, movement, and visual impact, and works well as a focal point in living rooms, entryways, or open walls. This option is best for collectors who want a bold, immersive work created specifically for their space.
Starting at $2,400
Custom sizes may be available on a limited basis, depending on the project.
Exact pricing will be provided after the initial consultation.
Most commissions are completed within 6 to 10 weeks. Shipping is calculated separately.
The Commission Process
I believe the process should feel thoughtful and personal, not complicated.
1. Inquiry
Begin by completing the commission request form below. Share your idea, inspiration, and any details that feel important to you.
2. Conversation
If your request feels like a good fit, I will follow up to discuss subject, size, timeline, and overall direction. This step helps ensure clarity and shared vision.
3. Deposit
A non refundable deposit is required to secure your commission slot and begin planning and materials.
4. Creation
Your painting will be created over several weeks, allowing the work to develop naturally. Progress images may be shared at my discretion. Revisions are not offered once the painting is underway.
5. Completion and Delivery
Once complete, the remaining balance is due. Your painting will be carefully packaged and shipped, or made available for local pickup if applicable.
Image Rights and Reproduction
While you will own the original, physical painting created for you, Karisa Lee retains the rights to the image itself.
This includes the right to photograph, reproduce, and display the artwork for portfolio, exhibition, publication, marketing, and promotional purposes, including use on her website, social media, and printed materials.
The artwork will never be reproduced for resale as a copy of your commissioned piece without your consent. If your commission is of a sensitive or deeply personal nature, please let me know and we can discuss limited or delayed public sharing.
A Few Important Notes
- I accept commissions that align with my artistic voice and current season of work
- I do not copy photographs exactly or recreate other artists’ styles
- Each painting is signed and includes a certificate of authenticity
- Due to the personal nature of commissions, all sales are final
